New Breast Cancer Research Centre

Home | Research | New Breast Cancer Research Centre

Breast Cancer Ireland is delighted to support the creation of a new state-of-the-art dedicated Breast Cancer Research Centre, to be located on the grounds of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. With funds raised and ring-fenced, as part of our commitment over the past three years, we are excited that breast services will reside in one dedicated location.

This Research Centre will offer a truly translational approach to breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, with consultants, radiologists and scientists all working in unison, under the one roof, to create personalised treatment plans for patients diagnosed – thereby changing the landscape of the disease into the future.

The Research Centre will house eight consulting rooms, four state-of-the-art imaging suites, pathology and a clinical trials unit, with clinical and scientific teams collaborating to ensure the best and most effective treatment options for patients diagnosed.

Groundworks commenced on the site in June 2020, and we estimate opening the doors in September 2022. A very exciting time for everyone!
