Meet Our Team

Aisling Hurley has over 32 years of experience in the non-profit sector, having raised over €240 million to date.  She started out in 1989, working at the University of Limerick, helping to create the University of Limerick Foundation, and then moved on in 1997, when her husband relocated to Dublin, to become a Consultant with CCS Ireland Limited, where she worked on a variety of projects including Arts, Cultural, NGO and Education.

In 2005, Aisling joined the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland as  Director of Development, where she helped to develop a Development Board of high profile individuals to raise funding to support the College’s ambitious capital development campaign.   In 2012, following discussions with RCSI, Breast Cancer Ireland CNG, came out from under the RCSI umbrella and instead Aisling set it up as a separate legal entity, securing its own charitable status (CHY 19926); its own governing board and its independence to support both national and international pioneering research programmes.  Today, Breast Cancer Ireland is one of just 72 Triple Locked charities, out of 8770, in Ireland for its transparency, accountability and good governance.   Aisling is CEO and is leading the development and expansion of Breast Cancer Ireland and its work.

Samantha McGregor originally joined the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2009 to assist in the Development Department with special focus on raising funds for research into breast cancer. With the establishment of Breast Cancer Ireland in 2012, Samantha continues her role which includes fundraising, marketing, financial management, database management and donor stewardship.

Adelle joined Breast Cancer Ireland in 2017 and plays a key role within the Development team, working closely alongside the Director of Development across a broad range of fundraising and engagement activities.

Adelle manages Breast Cancer Ireland’s Ambassador Programme, building strong relationships with BCI’s ambassadors and supporting their involvement across the organisation’s campaigns, events and awareness initiatives. She also coordinates a number of BCI’s community fundraising activities, including the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon and Coffee Morning campaign, helping supporters across the country get involved and raise vital funds for breast cancer research.

In addition, Adelle manages BCI’s merchandise programme and supports the delivery of the organisation’s fundraising raffles alongside the Director of Development. She also plays an important role in the Development team’s weekly financial administration and reconciliation processes.

As part of BCI’s continued focus on developing sustainable income for the future, Adelle will also support the development and growth of Breast Cancer Ireland’s Legacy Giving Programme.

Catherine joined Breast Cancer Ireland in 2022 as an Outreach Coordinator, delivering the organisation’s breast cancer awareness programme in the Dublin area and helping to educate on the importance of breast health, self check and early detection.

In 2025, Catherine moved into the fundraising team as Challenges and Community Fundraising Officer. In this role, she works on the planning and delivery of Breast Cancer Ireland’s challenge events, while also supporting and stewarding individuals, groups, and organisations who host community fundraising events in aid of the charity.
