Breast Cancer Ireland fully supports new research being undertaken by Fred Hutch (aka the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, based in Seattle, USA) into lobular breast cancer, which accounts for 10%-15% of invasive breast cancers. It is harder to detect and generally understudied, which is why this research is so important.
