Education &Awareness
At Breast Cancer Ireland, we believe everyone should know their normal, know the signs and feel confident taking action when something changes. That's why our Breast Health & Education Awareness Programme is completely free of charge, bringing potentially life-saving breast health education directly to schools, workplaces, sports clubs and community groups across Ireland.
Knowledge canchange thefuture, startwith yours
Our Outreach Coordinators deliver practical breast awareness sessions, teaching people how to check their breasts and recognise the 8 signs and symptoms of breast cancer. In 2025, our Outreach Team reached more than 35,000 people across Ireland, from workplaces and schools to community groups. By building knowledge and confidence, we help people recognise changes early and know when to seek medical advice.

Preventionand AwarenessProgrammes
Breast cancer can strike anyone, anywhere. That’s why our free prevention and awareness programmes reach out to every town, village, region and corner of Ireland.
Schools Programme
The sooner awareness of the early signs of breast cancer becomes normalised in a person's life, the more likely she or he will check themselves regularly. What better group setting than the safe learning space of a classroom.
Workplace Talks
Breast cancer impacts relationships, home life but also the workplace. Employers are seeing collegiate benefits of promoting health and wellbeing in the work setting and fostering an open and supportive culture around illness.
