Our vision in Breast Cancer Ireland is through research and awareness – we will transform breast cancer from sometimes being a fatal disease (730 deaths annually) into a treatable illness for all.
			Current statistics in Ireland:
- 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime
 - 1 in 728 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime
 - We have 3,600 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed each year.
 - 13% of women are diagnosed between the ages of 15-44 years.
 - 26% of women are diagnosed between the ages of 45-54 years.
 - 24% of women are diagnosed between the ages of 55-64 years.
 - 19% of women are diagnosed between the ages of 65-74 years.
 - 18% of women are diagnosed over the age of 75 years.
