Pink Padel

You love padel, you want to support Breast Cancer Ireland, and you are ready to bring the two together!

Whether you want to gather a big group for a fast-paced, social tournament, or rally a dedicated crew to endure a high-energy padel marathon, we’ve broken down the exact steps to help you execute a seamless, fun-filled day. Here is your ultimate playbook:

CHOOSE YOUR FORMAT

Option 1

The Tournament (best for big groups)

If you’re unsure how to organise the play, a Round Robin is the simplest and most social format:

  • The Setup: Aim for 2 hours of total court time across 3 courts (perfect for 24 players).
  • The Play: Group players into pairs. Rotate pairs every 20 to 30 minutes so everyone plays multiple short, fun matches.
  • Donations: Get people to donate to enter the tournament, and share the fundraising page with your networks

Option 2

The Padel Marathon (Best for an endurance challenge)

Want to test your stamina and make a massive fundraising statement? Go for a continuous padel marathon!

  • The Setup: Book a single court for a longer, continuous block of time–2, 4, 6 or even 12 hours!
  • The Play: You don’t have to play the whole time yourself! You and a co-host can anchor the court, while friends, family, and colleagues book 1-hour slots to come down and play against you in shifts.
  • Fundraising: Get your opponents to donate to your page or get friends and family to sponsor you

HOW IT WORKS

WHEN

A weekend afternoon or a Friday evening under floodlights work brilliantly for both formats. (If you are just doing a quick 2-hour tournament, a weekday lunchtime block with work colleagues is also a great option.) Give yourself 4–6 weeks to book courts and build momentum.

WHERE

Reach out to your local padel club or sports complex to book a court block. Explain your event (especially if you’re attempting a marathon) and ask the club manager whether they can offer a charity rate or donate court time to support the cause.

WHO

Your local padel crew, friends, family, or colleagues. Padel is highly social and easy to pick up, so beginners are always welcome. Tell everyone to wear their brightest pink activewear!

FUNDRAISE YOUR WAY

Once your date and courts are locked in, it’s time to start fundraising. You can collect donations in the run-up to the event, or on the day, through your fundraising page.

Set Up Your Official Fundraising Page

  • Create your own fundraising page and ask people to donate, or set up a team page where everyone taking part can join and get donations.
  • Share your fundraising page link in your WhatsApp groups
  • Send a reminder link to your players and wider network the week before the event, reminding them of the incredible cause they are supporting.
  • Print out your fundraising page’s unique QR Code and stick it up around the courts. Players and spectators can easily scan it with their phones to donate instantly during the event.
