Meet Our Outreach Coordinators

RACHEL FITZGERALD-FEELEY
BCI Outreach Coordinator - Connaught
Rachel joined Breast Cancer Ireland in January 2017 as Outreach Coordinator and delivers our breast education and awareness programmes to various schools, organisations and community groups across the West and North West of Ireland. Rachel is a breast cancer survivor, diagnosed in her late 20s. She has a keen interest in promoting breast self-awareness and is passionate about supporting women through their breast cancer journey and, indeed, those who have yet to be diagnosed.

JULIETTE O CONNELL
BCI Outreach Coordinator - FORSA
Juliette joined Breast Cancer Ireland in August 2018 as an Outreach Coordinator for the Munster area. Recently, her role has changed to deliver awareness talks to all Forsa Members throughout Ireland. She firmly believes that by delivering our breast education and awareness programmes to schools, companies and community groups it will increase awareness and, ultimately, save lives. She is a breast cancer survivor and was diagnosed at the age of 41. Juliette is very passionate about this programme, raising awareness amongst women and men to know the signs/symptoms of breast cancer, and how important it is to self-examine.

CAROL SCOTT
BCI Outreach Coordinator - Midlands
Carol recently started working with Breast Cancer Ireland as an outreach coordinator. She is both a registered nurse and registered midwife. Before starting with Breast Cancer Ireland, she worked as a registered nurse with primary care in Tullamore, Offaly. She studied nursing and midwifery in Liverpool, and considers herself to have been very lucky in her career to be able to work in Saudi Arabia, New York and Atlanta, gaining great experience.

DYMPNA SHARPE
BCI Outreach Coordinator - Midlands
Dympna is a nurse and a breast cancer survivor, having been diagnosed when she just turned 40. She has a keen interest in promoting breast self-awareness and is passionate about supporting people through their breast cancer journey. She is an advocate for life after breast cancer.

LORNA KELTY
BCI Outreach Coordinator - South Leinster
Lorna joined Breast Cancer Ireland in 2023 covering South Leinster. She is passionate about spreading the message of good breast health and having the vital knowledge at a young age in retrospect of gender. With her experience of facilitating SPHE and Sexual Health, she knows first-hand the importance of taking control of your own health, body and undertaking monthly breast checks. Knowledge is power and she wants all to feel confident after delivering the Education & Awareness programme on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and how to check themselves. Early detection results in a better treatment outcome and saving lives.

KAREN WALSH
Education & Awareness Coordinator
Karen joined the Breast Cancer Ireland team as an outreach coordinator in June 2023. Prior to joining Breast Cancer Ireland, Karen worked as a hairdresser where a number of her clients were breast cancer survivors which ignited a passion for awareness and prevention methods. Karen is now privileged to deliver our breast education and awareness programme to private organisations covering the Munster and Leinster regions.

LISA CONVEY
BCI Outreach Coordinator - Connaught
Lisa joined Breast Cancer Ireland in January 2024, after being involved since 2013 as a BCI Ambassador when an opportunity arose to become part of the Outreach team. Lisa truly believes that educating people in schools and the communities on good breast health will have a huge impact in the fight against breast cancer. Having lost her own Mum to breast cancer when she was 17 years old and having a diagnoses of Stage 3 breast cancer herself in 2011, she truly understands the importance of self-examination – knowing your normal and being an advocate for good breast health. Lisa is currently in full remission and thoroughly enjoys being part of a team of Hope & Change for the future of Breast Cancer.

HELEN CAMPION
BCI Outreach Coordinator - Munster
Helen joined Breast Cancer Ireland in June 2025 as our Education & Awareness coordinator for Munster. A lifelong musician and former Sport Ireland tutor, Helen is a breast cancer survivor since 2019. Helen is determined to reach all corners of Munster to reach as many people as possible, raising breast cancer awareness.

SARAH MOORE
Programme Administrator
Sarah joined Breast Cancer Ireland to pilot a new booking system across the education and awareness team. She looks after all the scheduling of coordinator visits and administration for our Breast Health Programme that is delivered across Ireland, to a wide range of sectors including schools, corporate and community groups. Sarah is a skilled office professional with administration, business, programme and project management experience.

ALEX KELLY
Programme Administrator
Alex joined Breast Cancer Ireland in 2022 to manage the roll out of a new booking system across our education and awareness team. She is responsible for the bookings of 3 team members across a wide range of sectors including schools, corporates, and community groups. Alex is a highly organised individual with great communication and interpersonal skills.
