Colin O’Callaghan joined the Breast Cancer Research group in 2024 as head of clinical trials. Since then, Colin has led out on several important clinical initiatives including HER2 Surveillance, a clinical trial run in collaboration with the Royal Marsden, London to undertake enhanced MRI screening of patients at risk of brain metastatic disease. Colin is also the driving force behind the PRISM clinical study which looks to identify clinically actionable mutations in patients with breast cancer brain metastasis. This is a multi-centre clinical trial with patients recruiting in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
