Is DDR1 a new actionable target for patients with advanced breast cancer?

Louise is a PhD student in the Breast Cancer group whose research focuses on DNA methylation changes which occur on brain metastasis. Though changes in tumour biology in the metastatic setting are due in part to alteration in DNA mutations, altered DNA methylation may result from continuous therapeutic pressure and a new host organ. Louise has found that there is enhanced DNA methylation in advanced breast cancer and has identified a potential new therapeutic target under DNA methyl control.
