Breast cancer will affect one in every twelve women in Ireland today. Recent advances in diagnosis and treatment have improved survival rates from breast cancer. However, ongoing research into how breast cancer can evade some treatments and how the tumour can spread are fundamental in enhancing our understanding of the disease and improving patient outcome.
Awareness helps to save lives……Breast Cancer Ireland are keen to promote education and awareness amongst women of all ages. It’s a myth to think that Breast Cancer only happens to women over a certain age! Breast Cancer can happen to women young and old.
Breast Cancer Ireland survives on the generosity of you, the public, in supporting our ongoing initiatives, whether its our annual nationwide raffles; our major events; our nomination as your charity of the year or indeed your individual fundraising efforts – everything you do helps enormously in achieving our goals.
While we have lots done, we have so much more to do! Your ongoing support helps us climb the ladder in achieving our overall vision. There are so many ways you can help.
