BCRF-supported study identifies novel target in metastasis

What is metastasis? It’s the process – a complex, multi-step process – whereby cancer spreads to other tissues. Cancer cells that spread and form new tumours are the leading cause of breast cancer deaths. A study at the John Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, has improved our understanding of metastasis and potential ways to develop targeted treatment and prevention strategies. This could dramatically reduce deaths from metastasis.
