Role of breast cancer charities explained

Breast Cancer Ireland is a charity of the RCSI who’s role is to raise significant funds to support pioneering breast cancer research programmes.  Investment in Research is critical in stemming the tide of this disease and transforming breast cancer from often being a fatal illness to one that can be maintained long term through treatment.  Speed of discovery is critical in our race for cure.  Raising awareness amongst women of all ages from 18-90 is vital as earlier detection leads to more positive patient outcome

The Marie Keating Foundations role is to educate and raise awareness amongst the public of breast cancer and all other cancer related illnesses.

Action Breast Cancer as part of the Irish Cancer Society are key providers of breast cancer information and support services to all those diagnosed with breast cancer

The role of Europa Donna is advocacy and they lobby on behalf of breast cancer services and treatments
