The ladies were all in top form last Saturday for the first ever Ladies Lipstick Lunch in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland presented by Sophie Gleeson owner of Muse Events. The fabulous Il Segreto Restaurant was the venue of choice.
Guests arrived at 1pm and were greeted with a girly cocktail upon arrival, followed by a delicious 3 course meal with wine. Guests gushed about the fantastic quality of food and the consistent flow of wine. One guest stated how the day was ‘the best value for money they had ever received for an event’.
The fun kicked off when the raffle competition winners were announced. With so many prizes to be won guests were on the edge of their seats all hoping to win something. The winners walked away with a John Rocha Coat, 1 nights stay in Number 31, Diversity Tickets, Alexandra Burke and Usher concert tickets, 1 nights B&B in Kinnity Castle, Clarins Hamper, Wilde hair salon and Mink hand and foot spa vouchers to name a few.
The day raised a total of €2,400 for the charity while also raising awareness on their aims which are to continue to research and develop new and more efficient methods for the treatment of breast cancer. Attention was also brought on the importance of early detection and guests were informed of the new self breast animated video that can now be viewed on their website www.breastcancerireland.com
After lunch guests were entertained by the hugely talented percussionist John. Finally the remaining guests followed the beat to the Grafton Lounge where a Prosecco reception was waiting for them to finish off the wonderfully successful day.
