A fantastic pink themed party took place in the Leopardstown Inn on Friday, 23rd April to celebrate the awarding of the Marie Gallagher Perpetual Trophy for the Leopardstown Inn Annual Golf Outing.
Marie lost her battle with breast cancer over 2 and half years ago and in recognition of the family, who have a close association with the owners and staff of the Leopardstown Inn, they hosted their 2nd annual golf classic in her honour with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Ireland.
Prize giving for the annual outing took place during the course of the evening with Derek Ennis’s Team taking first prize with a terrific score of 106 points. Second prize went to Mick Clifford’s Team and third prize went to Colm O’Hagan’s Team. Longest Drive was won by Garrett Dickson and Nearest the Pin was won by Colm O’Hagan.“Derek Ennis put on a fantastic night of entertainment for everyone. We were spoilt for choice with hugely lively and highly entertaining performances from Elivis, Dean Martin and Graham Monaghan – the biggest little one man show!” said Marie McGreal who was in attendance on behalf of Breast Cancer Ireland. A fantastic amount of money, €11,200, was raised from the event and Marie thanked everyone involved for their amazing support and generosity. An enormously successful raffle took place during the course of the evening with wonderful prizes of a signed Leinster Jersey, a signed rugby ball, a photographic collage of Padraig Harrington’s wins last year and many, many other prizes.
