The Leopardstown Inn held it's annual Perpetual Golf Classic in Aid of Breast Cancer Ireland at Glen Of The Downs Golf Club on Friday 16th April last.
There was a fantastic turn out for the 2nd year of this event which is held in honour of the late Marie Gallagher. It was great to see so many male golfers making the effort to dress in ‘pink’ to mark the occasion . The sunny calm weather was an added bonus for all that took part in the beautiful surrounding’s at the base of the Surgar Loaf mountain in the ‘Garden County’ of Ireland. Derek Ennis congratulated the Golf Club Management on the condition of the course and all that played on the day were in awe of the scenery.
A total of 56 players took part. Derek Ennis commented “I’d like to credit everyone for their fantastic and enthusiastic support. This year has been a lot harder trying to raise fund’s and I must thank all who played and all those who sponsored the cause. It’s great to see The Irish come up trump’s when called upon.”
