Fashion Show held in Killaloe, Co Clare in Aid of Breast Cancer Ireland

For the third year in a row, Celia Holman Lee's models took to the floor to showcase a superb collection of fashion pieces from Joanne's Boutique and Cerise Shoes in aid of breast cancer research.
Over 200 glamorous guests were invited to a champagne reception and fashion show, amidst the splendour of a pink themed room at the Lakeside Hotel,in Killaloe Co Clare, in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland @RCSI. Professor Arnold Hill, Professor of Surgery at RCSI delivered an informative talk on the progress of breast cancer research and more particularly the goal of Breast Cancer Ireland for 2009/'10 - to build a large national bio-bank of breast cancer tissue samples through collaboration with the other breast research units in the country. In turn this will speed up discoveries and ultimately effect more efficient treatments for all patients diagnosed Professor Hill advised.

Professor Hill thanked the Organising Committee of Frederika Barrett, Joanne Skelly, Ruth Vaughan, Claire Garry, Maria Quelly and Noreen Stokes for their fantastic help in once again raising significant funding towards our ongoing breast cancer research programmes. A special thank you mention went to Joanne's Boutique, Cerise Shoes, Supervalu and the Lakeside Hotel for their generous support and also to the many other kind supporters who once again helped the Fashion Show maintain its' popularity and success.
