Carlton Hotel Galway City (formerly Days Hotel Galway) on Thursday July 16th hosted an entertaining free evening of pre-races style and beauty tips in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland, at The Orchid Suite, the latest addition to the banqueting facilities at Carlton Hotel Galway City.
The evening got off to a great start with delicious canapés and summer cocktails followed by presentations made by Malvina Barrett of Promakeup, Paul Griffin from Zenith Hairdressing and stylist Georgina Vahey. Glamorous ladies came in droves to collect some valuable tips from the experts! Gerladine Nevin and Mary Treasa Breeney from Total Look in Renmore provided an amazing display of glamourous hats and headpieces ideal for a day in Ballybrit! The team from iradio really added to the evening with Bairbre Nic Dhonnacha of iradio presenting her show live from The Orchid Suite, with a number of ladies from the crowd making the most of the chance to go on air!
The latter part of the evening gave the ladies the opportunity to speak to each of the experts individually and collect many of the free gifts on offer. The draw on the evening offered some great prizes including accommodation and tickets to the races on Monday , an annual leisure club membership at Carlton Hotel Galway City Leisure Club, a gift worth €150 from Zenith, a free beauty consultation with Malvina Barrett, a free style consultation with Georgina Vahey and €100 to spend at Total Look, Renmore, and lots more!
All proceeds from the draw went to Breast Cancer Ireland and over €1,000 was raised on the night.
